I must say i only finished this in a reasonable amount of time, because of ImagineFX, haha. I was like 'what am I going to give them?', opened canvas in panic and drew this. But i've no idea what they're going to choose in the end orz. Anywho, I enjoyed drawing this immensely
...the Monkey King returns, calling his army! Gonna make a comback this time! I already drew him, ages ago, he changed a lot XD ending up as a villain in one of my stories. (I remember being proud of myself for drawing in that incredible amount of detail o.O Haha, what detail........orz; )
I was really fighting myself not to delete that background, I'm not really comfortable with this kind of stuff. I prefer clear, logical details!! ----

The Monkey King by =saharaam. An exquisite character design and very professionally rendered. I love the muted color scheme and the details on the face. (

I like the overall muddy look of this piece. It certainly gives it a very neutral feel, which in turn makes the reds appear more saturated. Very beautiful work.
This new version is AMAZING... but I liked the old one better. I loved his human-look better, even if he was undressing, which my girlfriend like but not me LOL
You have gone so far in such a short space of time!! I wanted to let you know that you are my new favourite artist since I saw you in IFX I had to find you on here and watch you (that sounded creeeepy) your art is exactly what I wanted to do, the colour style and painting technique is beautiful. And you use SAI which is great. (most of the artists I love are old-school and use PS) Would you consider doing a video process of one of your pieces? I would love to study your technique. Or perhaps a few WIP shots? especially of this piece (its my favourite)
i'm not sure if i'll be able to record a process, but a couple of WIPs sounds like a nice idea. Thank you so much, i'm very happy that you like my work!! ;^;
